The above .gif seems particularly relevant considering that the Summer Olympics are happening, and women’s weightlifting in particular. There’s something that unites the  trolls about women’s weightlifting: that weightlifters aren’t “feminine” or “attractive.” 

Even people who aren’t trying to be trolls always feel the need to add “but I’m not attracted to that” or “they’re too muscly for me” and when I respond that I enjoy weightlifting, they say “but you’ll never get like that, I hope.”

These people have just said I HOPE YOU’LL NEVER BECOME AN OLYMPIAN. I HOPE YOU’LL NEVER BE THE BEST AT YOUR SPORT.

Because that’s what these women - these athletes - are.

So let me say this one more time for the cheap seats: 

A woman’s “femininity” is not measured by how much you want to fuck her.

So STFU.
